The Last of the Ferrymen

The Last of the Ferrymen is a short documentary film about the founder of Vuoksi Fishing Park, Taisto Kainulainen, and the ancient great river, Vuoksi.

In the early 1990s, Taisto Kainulainen from Imatra had a dream in which he was told to transport people on water. Inspired by the omen, Taisto bought himself a boat, which he uses to transport people along Vuoksi even today. There have already been more than 60 000 passengers on board, from dozens of different countries.
